Case File #003 – The Team Member We Absolutely Shouldn’t Have Put on the Rig

Testing Motion VR hardware at Avalandia

A cinematic illustration showing a woman standing confidently in an industrial workshop holding a VR headset, with a large motion VR rig behind her. The scene represents behind-the-scenes testing of Avalandia’s Motion VR prototype during early development.

Alright, kid, every crew has that one person you rely on for...well, everything.

Schedules

Operations

Keeping the rest of us pointing in the same direction.

The person the whole company would fall apart without.

So obviously, that's who we put on the prototype first.

Was it wise?

Absolutely not.

But Avalandia’s never exactly been famous for wise decisions.

We’re more of a “try it and hope the ship holds together” kind of outfit.

They stepped onto the rig like someone who knows exactly how many things can go wrong.

Not an engineer.

Not a daredevil.

Just the person who makes sure the rest of us get through the week in one piece.

They grabbed the handles.

Looked at us with that expression that says, “If this kills me, you’re all doing your own paperwork.”

We fired it up.

The rig tilted, the tiniest little move, a polite “hello” from the machine.

Their reaction?

A perfect Avalandia cocktail:

Excitement...Suspicion...Internal swearing...Laughter...“Do it again, but warn me next time!”

And that’s when we knew.

If they can survive the first test, the person we definitely shouldn’t have risked, then this rig’s got legs.

Strong ones.
